Come and enjoy the perfect getaway- write your next book, do your business planning, connect with loved ones to celebrate life's most beautiful moments...or let the time pass as you walk the beach and let the sea air take you away. Play on the flats. Watch storms. Cuddle by the fire. Enjoy area attractions. Our cottage provides the comforts to make a stay "at the Bay" at any time of year enjoyable, fun, and accessible.
The cottage is ideally located- 1 minute to the beach and less than 100 steps to the famous C Shop, the world-famous ice cream and candy store that has been delighting people who visit "the Bay" for more than 40 years (open seasonally).

Birch Bay is the perfect getaway location for those looking to explore the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Located near the Peace Arch Border Crossing at Blaine, WA, Birch Bay is also only 40 minutes from Vancouver Int'l Airport in Canada (and downtown Vancouver is about that distance, too), and less than 20 minutes from Bellingham, WA. Seattle is just under 2 hours away from this beach paradise- no ferries needed!

PROXIMITY TO BIRCH BAY STATE PARK
Birch Bay State Park is a 194-acre Washington State Park located nine miles south of Blaine in Whatcom County (and just a ten-minute walk from Blue Heron Beach Cottage). The park has 8,255 feet of saltwater shoreline on Birch Bay and 15,000 feet of freshwater shoreline along Terrell Creek. Blue Heron Beach Cottage is the perfect jumping-off point if you're into bird watching.
